How do I change the Registration-Used laptop i bought

I bought a used laptop IBM T-23 with 2000 pro installed
I do not have the org. system disk.
But the product key is on bottom of laptop.
I would like to change the name that the computer is reg.
to. Put it in my name. Can, and or, how, do I do this

Navigate to;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
and edit the Reg_Sz strings:

"RegisteredOrganization"
"RegisteredOwner"
