How do I change the location properties

I have a file on my FTP that wont publish because the file property points to
a different file name. I cant figure how to change the name of the
file(doesnt let me do it by right clicking on properties, although it shows
me the path)
I had previouly used a friend's web space and now use my own.
 
In folder List view, right click and select rename.

Are you working with FrontPage?
Did you create a Web / Site?
If so do you have the Web Opened?

What do you mean; "I have a file on my FTP"?

Sorry, maybe it's me...but I'm confused.
