How do I change the displayed line length in outline view?

How do I change the displayed line length in outline view? I want to minimize
the displayed line wrap in my outline view.

I'm not sure what you mean... Nor do you indicate which version of Word.

There is a checkbox in Word 2007 Options> Advanced> Show Document Content
for "Show text wrapped within the document window" which affects only
Outline & Draft View. With that check in place you can control the wrapping
by adjusting the width of the document window.

The same setting is available in earlier versions as well.
