An easy one...
When I load windows explorer, it defaults to the C drive. I want to know how
to change it to a different drive or path to load by default....

In addition to John's suggestion, you might want to also consider creating a
shortcut for Windows Explorer on your Desktop (and Quick Launch toolbar if
you use one), then right-click on the WE icon, select Properties, and in the
Target: text box simply change the file extension from .exe to .scf.
