How do I change formatting from guillemets to quotation marks?

It seems that I have pressed a button or accidentally hit a keystroke that
has now changed it so that whenever I try to enter a standard quotation mark
("), it now uses guillemets (<<). I don't know how to change it back; if
anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
 
Word uses the quotation marks of the language in the text you are
typing. If you look at the status bar, you'll probably find that the
text at the insertion point is using a flavor of French. You can
quickly change the language of the selection via Tools>Language>Set
Language. Note, however, that for the best way to ensure the correct
