Let's say I've set up a table in Access and want to center the fields
(columns). How to do this? My formatting buttons (left, center, right) are
greyed out whenever I try to format my tables. Thank you.

You shouldn't be working directly with the tables: that's what forms are
for.

You don't do that in tables. Tables are just for storing the data.
When you want to view add or edit data you use forms and reports. Centering
data in forms or reports is easy. It is a format property.
