how do i cancel & delete a message

how do i cancel and delete a message with a large attachment in my outbox in
transmission?
 
Double click on the outbox and find the message. Right click on it,
then click on delete. If that doesn't work, double click on the
message, then hit the delete button.
 
even after trying that at first it did'nt work. it won't let me open the
message because it is in transmission.
 
You might have to let it go until the transmission fails, then delete
it. Try disconnecting from the internet, and let it fail.

Put Outlook in offline mode. Exit Outlook. Restart Outlook. Delete
the item from your Outbox. Now go back into online mode.
