How do I cancel a message stuck in outbox?

I tried to email a video and now it is stuck in my outbox for 3 days. When I
try to delete it, I am told the message has begun to be transmitted. But it
is going nowhere. How can I stop the message and delete it.

try going offline and delete the mail

Thanks anyway DannyBoy. I tried it but I had no luck. Firstly, the delete
does nothing. When I right click the subject line of the email, a window pops
up that says OUTLOOK HAS ALREADY BEGUN TRANSMITTING THIS MESSAGE and the only
choice i get is to click OK.
