how do i cancel a delivery notification

i recently received an e-mail requesting delivery notification on an account
that i do not use for outgoing mail. the delivery receipt was sent and the
message was deleted. now i keep getting an error message everytime outlook
sends/receives messages as it is apparrently trying to send the receipt using
that account. there is nothing in my outbox to delete. how can i get the
message to stop?

Off the top of my head, you will need to use Outlook Spy to eradicate
the hidden outbound message. It costs money but maybe it gives a trial
period (with full functionality).
