How do I calculate total time (24hr) with timesheets?

Creating a rota for 60 staff. I have start times e.g. 17.30 and a finish time
of 00.45.
How do I calculate the total hours worked. if I just use 5 & 12.45 then a
negative number appears. Please Help!!

Use =MOD(B2-A2,1)
