How would I calculate the odds of winning a lottery in which three
three-digit numbers are chosen and each one is equally likely every
time?

Statistically, I believe the formula is % Chance raised to the number o
tries or:

(1/1000)^3 = 1/1000000000 = 0.000000001

This assumes 0-999 as your range for 1000 possibilites.
