How do i use stinger as a bootable virus scanner? as in have it scan my computer without accessing windows/desktop.

If there is no option in Stinger, you could do it in Safe Mode.
Just kill explorer.exe first. See here for more info:

It's a GUI based Application. It has command line functions, but
from a DOS Boot Floppy, CD, etc you won't have access to
an NTFS formatted drive.

switch:
1.. /ADL - Scan all local drives.
2.. /GO - Start scanning immediately.
3.. /LOG - Save the log file after scans.
4.. /SILENT - Do not display graphical interface.
