Is there anyway to Automate a Contents Page in PowerPoint? eg, the
poistioning of slides in a presentation may change due to slides being added,
is there anyway to automate this instead of having to correct a contents page
manually?

Hi

What version do you use? You can do this pre-2007 by going to slide sorter
view and using the 'summary slide' button on the slide sorter toolbar. This
feature was removed in 2007.

Hi,

Im using version 2003. the steps mentioned works, but is there anyway to get
the slide number to come up instead of just bullet points?

Not as far as I know - other than selecting the placeholder -> format ->
bullets & numbering -> numbered -> select the style you like. The problem
with that is it's not necessarily the actual slide number, just the number
of the item in the list, so if you skipped any slides (e.g. the title slide)
it won't be accurate. Make sense?

Maybe one of the VBA-ers will know of a way to do it.....

Lucy,

I have made an add-in for PowerPoint versions 2000-2007 that completely
automates the creation and maintenance of summary slides. It is called
PowerTOC. It is listed on the Office Marketplace and an evaluation version is
available at http://www.momsoftco.com/ptoc.htm.

If you have the opportunity of taking a look at this add-in, I'd appreciate
your feedback very much.
