how do i autofill with, such that it has the last day of the month..

i want to autofill down the colums

so that

a2 = 31 Jan 2003
a3 = 28 Feb 2003

If you have the Analysis Toolpak installed try this:

Enter your first date in A2 like your example. In A3 enter
this formula and copy down as needed:

=EOMONTH(A$1,ROW(A1))

Just to add a little more:

That formula will return date serial numbers. Just format
them as date.

Also, after you've got the filled range you want you can
get rid of the formulas and convert the values to
constants by selecting the range and then do: Copy>Paste
Special>Values. They will still maintain the numeric date
values.

howdy guys, whilst waiting for your advice,,, i did this

type in a1 and a2

a1= 31/jan/2003
a2= 28/feb/2003


and then i selected a1 and a2 and auto filled down...

worked a treat :
