How do I apply a template to a frontpage web site?

I am trying to revive a web page and now have mulitple contributors and have
designed a template for folks to use. But how do I apply the template to the
existing web pages?
 
Hi Jyll,

Actually with most templates you don't apply them to existing pages. If it
is a DWT (Dynamic Web Template) you start by attaching it to a blank page.
From there you then enter any content you want into the editable areas. If
you have text or images on existing pages you want to use..you then copy and
paste them into the new page you created with the attached template.
