How do I animate images to scroll off the screen?

I'd like to have some images (originally jpgs) appear from the bottom
of the screen in PowerPoint 2000, smoothly scroll up the screen, and
disappear off the top. Maybe even reappear later from the bottom.

I know how to scroll text, but not images or other objects.

http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/pptext.html has a part
about scrolling text credits, but that doesn't seem to relate to the
image scrolling I want.

In PPT 2000 you are somewhat limited in how to animate this effect (using
the Advanced Timeline in PPT 2002+ would make this visually smoother).
1. Position Photo off the top of the active slide area
2. Apply FLY IN animation (very slow)
3. Repeat for all photos (After Previous)
*you can position 2-4 of the photos, spaced out, and group them before
animating. This will create less animation work and provide a better
animated effect.
