How do I allow popup windows from some sites, while blocking others?

I am having problems with sites that use popups with javascript. These are
popups that I WANT to see - not those @$#%$ popup ads. A popup window
appears but it is blank.

I have tried setting Privacy to "allow all" cookies for the sites , and
adding the sites to the trusted sites list, but the popups still do not
work. The Security setting for trusted sites is set at LOW.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

use a better browser like mozilla.org firefox.
many good features and no hijackers. or toolbar.google.com
to stop those nasty popups.

I'm having the exact same problem. It just started a few
days ago. I suspect that a setting on my computer may
have been changed but I can't find it.
When I click on a button to open a new window (in my case
to reply to my e-mail) I see a message in the status bar
about javascript then a message that "a pop-up window has
been blocked." It's frustrating.
Unfortunately, I don't have the solution. just the same
problem. If anyone knows how to fix this, please share...
