How do I add Subscript and Superscript buttons to Excel 2002 toolb

There are no buttons available for those features in Excel 2002.

You have to go through the menus to apply those as formats.

For example:

A1 = 102

You want the 2 to be superscript.

First thing to know is that Excel won't apply those formats to numbers.
You'd have to enter the number as TEXT. You can either preformat the cell as
TEXT or preceed the number with an apostrophe: '102.

Then type in '102 but don't hit enter just yet. Highlight the number 2 then
goto the menu Format>Cells>Font tab>Superscript>OK

Then hit enter.

Or:

A1 = SO3

You want the 3 to be subscript. Follow the same steps as above** but select
subscript in the Font tab.

** You don't need to preceed this entry with an apostrophe since it's
already a text string.

If you need to do this to a lot of stuff John Walkenbach has a free add-in
that makes it a little less clumsy. Just Google his name and you'll find his
website.
