How do I add data to drop down lists?

I have two linked worksheets and I am trying to update the drop down menu by
adding an entry. How do I do this. I am totally new at this and flying by
the seat of my pants without a manual (which we all know may look like it's
written in an understandable language but isn't anyway!) Thanks

right click at the drop down box and chose format controls
