How do I add assignments to Classroom Management Access template d

Does anyone out there know how to add assignments to MS's Classroom
Management template so that the assignments show up when the student record
is selected in the student form?

the db automatically opens the Classes form on startup. i was able to click
on the Assignments tab for a specific class, and enter a new assignment to
the bottom of the list. i also tried clicking the View Assignments button
near the bottom right of the form, which opened the Assignments form,
filtered for the specific class. again, i was able to add a new assignment
for that class, directly to the bottom of the Assignments list.

have you tried either of the above methods? if so, what problem(s) are you
encountering?

Thanks, Tina. I can do everything you suggest, but the problem for me is that
the assignments don't appear on the student form listing of assignments for
each student. Does your db show the assignments in the student form? I just
can't figure out why I'm not getting the list for each student so I can enter
test scores etc.

thanks for taking the time to help

ok, got it. whether you're adding a new class, or adding assignments to an
existing class: in the Classes form, on the Assignments tab, click the View
Assignments button. in the Assignments window that opens, add the new
assignment in the top subform.then click in the bottom subform; the subform
control's Enter event runs an append query to add a record in the Results
table for each student in the class, for that particular assignment.

note: the query runs for only the current assignment record in the top
subform, so if you add two assignments, you have to click in the bottom
subform from each new assignment in turn.
