How do I add a task in Active Tasks view?

When the Current View is Simple List, I can create a new task by clicking in
the "Click here to add a new Task" area. However, since I want to filter out
my completed tasks, I use the Active Tasks view. Unfortunately, in that view,
that shortcut for creating a task doesn't appear -- I have to use the File
menu or right-click the Task list. Is there any way to get that shortcut area
to appear on the Active Tasks view?

Customize your view. In the "Other Settings" select; Show "new item" row.
