I have twelvw worksheets in an excel work book. But I can not see the abs of
all of these worksheets together at the bottom display bar. Is there a way to
reduce the width of each tab so that all can be seen together? Or reduce the
font size of the 'name' on the tab? How to reduce this font size?

You can shrink the scroll bar on the bottom right. that will give you more
room too see your tabs. And you can move between the tabs at the bottom by
using the four arrows at the bottom left.

hi.
all of your wishes are not possible.
tab fonts are automatic and built into xl.
Tabs autofit and the is built into xl too.
sorry

Hi mantoshanand

Maybe you like this

Right click on the arrows next to the first tab.
You get a list with all your sheets then.

Ron's suggestion is probably the best way to go in my opinion.

If you DID want to change the size of the sheet tabs............

The size of the sheet tabs are governed by the setting for Scrollbars in
Windows Display Appearance. Mine are at 18. Start there and work your way
up or down. The font will increase or decrease with the size of sheet tabs.

Win98 as example...

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Appearance(WinXP
Appearance>Advanced)

"Item" drop down select Scrollbar

Change setting to Taste
Apply
OK

Depending upon your settings, you may have to re-boot to see the changes.

Also note: this is a Global change and will affect all Applications.
