How do I access an *.ost Outlook file without a server to connect

Accidentally I deleted my old email account connected to a server at my
previous employer. I still have the file outlook.ost but I’m unable to open
it so I can access my old emails and calendar. What do I do now?

I'm using Outlook 2002

if you can use system restore to restore the account, do so. Otherwise, you
need to access the exchange server to use the ost.
