How do control internet access on a GOP

Using XP pro, cable modem, xp firewall, NAT router, firefox,
thunderbird, don't use IE, but iexplore.exe is running.

What I need is a limited user account with password, who can access
the internet, but not harm the system. Also if I can run without
iexplore.exe, or window/msn messenger.

I would like my admin account without iexporer.exe or any other way to
access outside the local hardware.( boot into safe mode?? )

I will install and inspect and add plugins with the admin account
and surf with the limited account.

IE is required to display things like Help, Media Player, and much more. You
can use a firewall it so it can not access internet, though.

Since you have Pro, configure account security at the individual file level
that an account may not access (such as messenger files etc.) Don't try to
do that with IE, though, because accounts have to use it for non-internet
system related things.
