How do bring a portable presentation with many pictures with me?

I have a large presentation. Do I have to burn the pictures to CD as well as
the presentation in order to be able to view it somewhere else?
 
Probably not. When you insert pictures they are embedded unless you
specifically choose "Link" when you insert them. If they are linked then yes,
burn them to the CD.

what Sonia said but also.......

If you open your presentation and do a

file menu > save as > choose the filetype as JPG,

then powerpoint will save all your slides as regular JPG pictures
