How can you create a running total of selections made?

I am creating a demo of a customer service system in powerepoint. I would
like to create a side bar with a running total of the actions or selections
made. For instance, if it was a retail coffee shop. The customer would select
large, espresso, vanilla shot, extra foam...etc, by clicking on action
buttons that i have created. How can these actions be recorded in a viewable
fashion, so that the customer can keep track of it?
 
This can only be done in vba. For some hints you might want to google for
powerpoint vba quiz as the technique for keeping scores would be similar.
