How can .txt documets be opened in Word via hyperlink?

I want to open .txt documents in Word, not Notepad.
When opening a .txt documents from Windows Explorer, they open in Word, but
if I insert a HyperLink and open a .txt document from it, the .txt document
opens in NotePad.
I've selected 'Microsoft Office Word' as the 'Opens With' option in Folder
Options/File Types

Have you selected the 'Opens With' option "always use this program" ?
