How can these licenses be legit?

Greetings --

No, it's not likely to be "legit." The most obvious clue, besides
the too-good-to-be-true pricing, found in the FAQ, is: "The software
is shipped from Eastern Europe."

And this gives it away also:
"There is no catch - the software versions that we sell are OEM (Original
Equipment Manufacturer) which means you will receive the installation CDs
only (they do not come in their original retail packing and do not include
the manual). We do guarantee that all programs are the 100% full working
retail versions - no demos or academic versions! When you order, you will
receive all materials required for a complete installation - or your money
back! Why pay hundreds dollars more when you can get exactly the same but
cheaper? You don't have to pay that much for the fancy box and manuals.

This software is recognized as a backup software."

First they say it an oem version of xp, then they say it's a full retail
version, then they say it recognized as backup software. So basicly what you
get is a burned copy of xp on a non-microsoft cd, with no product key(as you
notice they say you get cds only), that you can use to reinstall xp with if
you have your own purchased product key. And all this for a low $50. Goto
your friends house and burn a copy of his xp cd and you have the same thing.

its also OEM versions, which mean no tech support from ms... and they don't
offer any support, so if something doesn't work you are on your own.

And the letter you get "from eBay [or Yahoo] asking for your
account information" warns you not to use email but their
secure server.

| Must be legit, the site states "all fraud prosecuted".

Keys are bought and sold everyday. No one here is it the
business so they don't know. How do you tell where a key
came from ??? If it's good and works, where is the beef.
If you bought your's direct from MS then it's ok , right,
If I bought mine from a OEM then it's not so good, If I
bought mine from a guy on the street then it has to be no
good. What I say is a key is a key, if it works use it.

The site does go on to say: "You receive your own unique registration
code". Possibly it's a product key gotten from using one of the many
key generators available throughout the web. So while you do
probably get a copy of Pro that will work, I have very little doubt
that it's a legal copy.

I agree.

thing.

One question is, Does MS sell XP in other countries for
the same wholesale Price as they Do Here ?? Do they sell
to everyone at the same price then give a bottom line
discount, like 50% to some ?? Is it like the drug market ??

Who in here knows the real wholesale price of XP ?? I know
in Thailand they have a deal that XP does not contain any
activation.

I would think one would have to know a lot before one
could think something was ligit or not.
