I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2007. When I send mail, it goes into my "sent"
folder, of course. But how can I configure Outlook to prompt me to choose
another folder in which to store the e-mail, while still saving it in the
"sent" folder also?

Lotus Notes has a feature to prompt the user to select a folder in which to
save the e-mail. That way, I can go to that particular folder to look up
the e-mail rather than opening the "sent" folder and go searching for it.

I searched on the Internet and in this forum and didn't see an answer to
this particular question.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks.

Roady and Michael, thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction.

I just tried the solution at
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/code/setsavefolder.htm and it works wonderfully.

I will pass this tip on to the other members of my team. We were
transferred from a company which used Lotus Notes to one which uses Outlook,
and there was some grumblling about this "save in a specific folder" not
being an Outlook feature.

I appreciate your help.

OK, let me try this again. I got an error msg with the first reply but the
test went through successfully.

The function to prompt in which folder a sent e-mail should be stored worked
for one day. However, it has not worked since.

I've tried a variety of options without success.

Is there something which is blocking the macro?

Please advise.

Thanks.
