Hi,

At some point I think some firewall software closed the
file sharing ports on my computer, Or set something
denying access to users. Is there anything I can use to
check their status or open them up again?

Thank You,
Del

If you'll post a news group reply telling us what firewall software is
in use, someone can probably tell you how to check and open the ports.

To help, give a complete a description of the firewall program,
network setup, and the symptoms that lead you to believe that some
ports are closed. Include the exact text of all error messages.

Thanks but it didn't work. I tried turning on the
Microsft firewall to open the port but it didn't fix my
problem. I'm grasping at straws now.

I posted a more detailed version of my problem yesterday
entitled "Challenging network problem result of worm".
