How can one disable the "cartridge out" function on HP 45?

If anyone can tell me how to disable the cartridge out pins to fool an
HP with the 45 (black) cartridge to think one is installed? Thank you.

Sorry, it is not practical to do this. To avoid damage to the printer
electronics the printer does an electrical check of the cartridge, which
includes checking that a minimum number of the firing resistors are OK and also
that the cartridge ID is correct. This test includes checking nearly every pin
in the cartridge and only a few are allowed to be open or shorted. It might be
possible to design some electronics that would spoof a cartridge but it would
cost quite a bit more than just getting a cartridge.
