How can I use word to fill out a application online?

I am trying to find a way to use microsoft word to fill out a application
that was placed online in a pdf format. If anyone can help me accomplish
this task please

You can't. Whoever posted the PDF expects you to fill it out as a PDF form.
There are techniques that would convert the PDF to Word -- but then the
form-owner wants a PDF, not a Word document.
