How can I use SNMP?

Hi

How can I monitor the packet send and recieve of my LAN workstations
through SNMP?Is it a built in SNMP client in Windows 2000 that can be used
for monitoring?
Or have I to find it on the internet?
All workstations have Windows 2000.

Windows supports the ability to do SNMP but does not come with software to
manage the SNMP traps or monitor a network. There are several 3rd party
products for managing SNMP on Windows networks.

Make use of Perfromance Monitor. There are few counters to monitor the packets send / receive.
