I am using both Office 2007 and Office 2003 on my machine. I have not
installed Outlook 2007, but am using Outlook 2003 as my default mail client.
I cannot use Word 2007 as a Text Editor for Outlook 2003 - it gives me an
error saying version not compatible. Is it possible to manually override
outlook 2003 to link with only word 2003 and not word 2007?

Possibly. The only way it might work is if Office 2003 is the most recently
installed version of Office and even then, it's not very consistent. Try
doing a repair of Office 2003 and see if it works. But, if it doesn't,
you'd probably be looking at a reinstall of 2003 and even then, maybe, maybe
not.
