How can I type otu without word automatically changing it to out

I require to use the term otu as part of technical documents. If I turn off
all options in the dictionary and try and add the term to the custom
dictionary, it is still changed to out. If I ignore uppercase and type it in
caps it is still changed. the only way I can get it to stay is if I cursor
down afterwards inwhich case I can add it to the custom dictionary for that
time only. This is driving me mad as I have to use the units full name rather
than it's abbreviation every time I type it.

This is an AutoCorrection. You can press Ctrl+z to undo it when it happens
or you can go to Tools > AutoCorrect, enter otu in the Replace box and then
click on Delete to remove it completely.
