I have the preview reading pane showing for all folders I view except for the
drafts folder. I have to actually open the draft to see what's in it. Is
there a way to turn it on?

According to help, The Reading Pane is not available for the Drafts folder.
However, you can use the preview pane on the drafts folder.

Huh? The "reading pane" and the "preview pane" are exactly the same thing,
with "reading" being the term used in OL 2003 and "preview" the term for
earlier versions. So please explain yourself.

I think Lisa may have meant AutoPreview. Another solution is to create a custom search folder that has no conditions and looks only at the Drafts folder.
