How can I turn Dr Watson off?

I would be most grateful if someone could tell me how to turn DrWatson
debugger off. It is causing crashes and I can't find any way to turn it off.

Dr. Watson doen't cause crashes. When a program crashes, Dr. Watson collects
information useful in interpreting the cause.

Thanks very much for your reply Ted, but in my case Dr Watson is causing
freeze-ups. It is being recorded in Event Viewer as an Error, as follows
(this is copied and pasted):

Faulting application drwtsn32.exe, version 5.1.2600.0, faulting module
dbghelp.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x0001295d.

It is becoming a real problem and there doesn’t seem any way to turn it off.
