How can I tell when a Windows Update or SP was installed ?

Can I tell when a Windows Update or Service Pack was installed on a Win2000
server machine ?

System subdirectory, typically C:\WinNT

they will start with "$NtUninstal..." and be hidden so checkmark the
"Show Hidden...." box in Tools,Folder Options, View
 
Check the System Event Log. Sort the data by Source and look for
source = 'Automatic Updates' or 'NTServicePack'
