How can I save my doc on a CD so it can be read on a Macintosh?

I have saved in RTF so it can be read on a bare bones PC without a word
processor. Would saving as a web page be readable on a Mac? Thanks.
 
A Mac PC that could not access the web would have a very short life. Even
some mobile phones can read web pages!
