how can i save/copy a word doc into a cd disc

I insert the disc and i get a message saying : plsease insert a disc inot
drive D
the disc is in there i tried with 3-4 different new discs and i get the same
comment

Sorry. This is a newsgroup dedicated to questions about Access, the
database program in Office Professional. It appears your question may not
be related to these subjects. The Microsoft help system is not all that
clear and may have misdirected you here.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. You should find people better able to address
your problem there.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
program(s) you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.
 
First the obvious...are you using your D drive? We have two disc drives
on our tower and I can never remember which one is the D etc. Are you
using the right kind of disc? There IS a difference between regular
CD's and writable CD's for data copying. Also, we had this same problem
and found out that our CD burner was corrupted and dead.
