How can I run an MDE file without MS Access installed?

I am trying to use an MDE file, but do not have MS Access installed on my
computer. I only need to be able to use the file, not design/build MS Access
databases. Is there a plug-in or similar that I can install that will allow
me access to this file?

You can use run time, you can search the Discussion group and Microsoft for
Microsoft Access Run time.

With the run time there is no need to install Access, and there is no ned
for a licence.

It should be pointed out, though, that the developer needs to package the
MDE with the runtime in order to meet the licensing restrictions of the
tool. A user cannot simply install the runtime and then receive the MDE.

well they can; but they dont need to.

i thought that whole thing was kinda bs; i mean-- it just seems so
impractical
