how can I restore my address book and calendar contents?

My calendar and phonebook contacts is empty, yet addresses are there. how
can I restore them?
 
Look for any files with a .pst extension and open them in OUtlook using
File->Open.

they may have been archived so as said above, look for any Pst file and open
it in outlook
