As an FYI, I lost my personal.xls when I changed
computers. IT wiped out the old hard drive, so I literally
lost everything.

Since then, I've been saving all macros as Word docs
(>Tools>Macro>Macros>[Name]>Edit>Microsoft VBA>Ctrl-
A>Copy, then paste to blank word doc, saved with name of
macro). It makes me a little less paranoid.

Why not just save the workbook personal.xls?

After I change mine, I save it in a different location as:

personal_yyyy_mm_dd.xla
(mine's an addin)

Then I can keep multiple versions in case a change turns out to be a mistake!
