How can I replace a lost copy of word97

I'd suggest asking in a newsgroup related to Word.

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.

However, I think you'll probably get the same answer there: contact
Microsoft. If you can prove that you had a legitimate copy, they may be able
to accomodate you, although given that they dropped support for Office 97
some time ago, possibly not.

Hey, I am not sure but they may not be supporting this version any longer. I
know this is not what you want to hear, but it was the same thing with me
when I found out that my Windows 98 CD was scrached and i couldnt read all my
files. But not all is lost. Try EBAY and others like that but first things
first. Dont let Microsoft get off easy. Really push them for a replacement,
as long as yours is leagle then push em. Good luck.
