How can I remove myself from the microsoft mailing list?

We have an e-mail address which is constantly getting messages from Microsoft
about products and services such as RSS feed. We do not want all of these
e-mails. How can we stop them?
 
are they sent to your account or a welcome message when you create a new
profile?
