How can I remove *ALL* HTML tags with the exception of of <p> and.

I am moving a series of pages to Mambo, and I need to remove all the HTML
formatting in the pages. Is there a quick and easy way to remove the HTML
code, with the exception of the basic structural code? ( <p> and <br> )
 
No all, but most formatting can be removed using Edit Select All, Format Remove Formatting

How copying and pasting into Notepad? Would that apply in this instance?
