Yes it is. You can open any pre Outlook 2007 personal folders file (*.PST)
via File > Open > Outlook Data File or the Mail applet in the control panel.
An archive.pst will only contain mail, task, calendar and journal items. Your contacts are not archived unless you manually archive them. Your archive folder will be a replication of data from 30 to whatever interval you selected for archiving old. It will not contain your current data. Your default .pst file will have your current data.

After furious head scratching, Wamdapayne asked:
| Is it possible to use an archive from Outlook2003 and use it in
| Outlook2007 and will it contain all of my old email?
