How can I receive Outlook emails on 2 different computers?

My father has Outlook configured both at home and at work to receive his
business email. But the emails that are received on one computer can not be
read on the other. How can we program Outlook to access all emails received,
instead of only those that were received on that specific computer? AOL
saves all emails and all can be accessed from anywhere--we want to do that.

What kind of mail server is your father using in the office? If it's an
Exchange Server you might be able to directly access his mailbox and not
have to download/delete the items.

His Outlook is being used as a mail manager from our business website's
email. All of us are learning Outlook for this purpose, but he's the only
one trying to access it from 2 locations. His problem is when he reads an
e-mail that he received on his home computer, and he wants to re-read it or
reply to it from the office, it's sitting on his home computer only & he
can't keep track of which location various emails are stored.

I'd set the home machine to not delete items so you can be sure that all the
items are on the office machine. I'm guessing from your response that you're
not using an Exchange Server but are using a POP3 server for mail. An IMAP
server would also allow you to view mail easily from multiple locations
since the mail isn't really downloaded to the local machine, you're just
viewing & managing from your local machine. Who setup the mail server for
your office?

I'll tell him to try that. The "POP3" sounds familiar; I do think that's
what we're using. Thanks for your help.

You can set one of the computers to leave a copy of the message on the server
and then the other computer will download the message again. Go to Tools ->
Email accounts -> View or change existing account -> Select the account and
click Change -> More Settings -> Select the Advanced tab and put a check mark
beside "Leave a copy of messages on server".

Is there a way to do this EXACT same thing in Outlook 2000?? (didn't find
these items in my Tools list).

Thanks,
Jeff

yes there is - but Outlook 2000 is a bit different. I think it's under
Accounts? (Long time since I used 2000......)
