how can I read from "A" a "read only" file

let me know how can I read a file from a diskete that the system say's it is
a "read only" file and doesn't open it
 
I would first copy the file to your hard drive, then open the file. Next
copy the worksheets and macros to a read/write file and save and use the
copy.
