How can I place pictures in the body of Outlook messages?

I would like to compose emails that have a series of cute pictures my friends
have forwarded me. I would like the pictures to be embedded in the body of
the text. How do I include the picture without making it an attachment?

Compose in HTML and choose Insert-> Picture...

I checked, and I am composing in HTML using MS Word as the email editor.
Still though, whenever I try to include a jpeg, it simply attaches it. I'd
like to put it in the body of the text.

Compose in HTML and choose Insert-> Picture...
